Hyatt Westlake Plaza Unveils Multi-Million Dollar Renovation
WESTLAKE, CA—Winter 2009—Located under sunny California skies and surrounded by picturesque mountains, Hyatt Westlake Plaza recently finished a $1.2 million renovation which included the hotel's meeting space, VIP suites, lobby and front desk.
This renovation compliments the recent $4.5 million invested in the hotel, which resulted in all of the 262 guestrooms and corridors, bathrooms, suites and the Grand Plaza Ballroom, being completely revamped.
"Hyatt Westlake Plaza is extremely convenient to some of Los Angeles', Ventura and Santa Barbara's most popular attractions and business centers, and with the renovation completed, we will continue to exceed the expectations of both our business and leisure travelers," said Mr. Lance Marrin, general manager, Hyatt Westlake Plaza. "We have received great feedback on the recent guestroom renovation and now the entire hotel looks modern and feels comfortable at the same time."
The centerpiece of the project is the lobby and registration area. The entire lobby was redone to include new tile throughout, lighting, furniture and modern artwork, along with a new front desk design, offering guests the opportunity to check in via two self-check-in "pods" for ease and efficiency. To upgrade the hotel's meeting space, all four breakout rooms now feature state of the art, audio visual capabilities, new carpet, wall coverings and artwork, along with a new ceiling and lighting, all designed to help meeting attendees get the most out of their event. For smaller meetings, the hotel's two boardrooms now feature new executive tables, new carpet, wall coverings and artwork. For the most discriminating traveler, the hotel's two VIP suites also underwent a complete renovation, which included furniture, carpet, bedding and high-end amenities.
